Your information, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

This policy covers the App Anthology website and all mobile apps we publish. It explains what information we may handle, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 8 August 2026

We do not sell your data We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
Collection depends on the app An app only handles the categories needed for the features you choose to use.
You stay in control You can manage permissions, delete content, or ask us about your information.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

App Anthology Limited (referred to as “App Anthology”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the controller of personal information handled through this website and the mobile apps we publish, unless an app-specific notice says otherwise.

This is an umbrella policy. Not every app has accounts, location features, sharing, uploads or online services, so not every category described below applies every time you use an App Anthology app.

2. App-specific information on the App Store

Check the “App Privacy” section for the app you use

Each published app has its own product page on the Apple App Store. Its App Privacy section summarises the data categories that may be handled by that particular app and whether they may be linked to you.

Visit our apps page, choose the app, and review “App Privacy” on its App Store page. Read that app-specific disclosure together with this policy. Any additional privacy notice shown within an app also forms part of the privacy information for that app.

App Store privacy labels are summaries based on the app’s features and the information supplied to Apple. They may differ between apps and change when features change. Apple operates the App Store under its own terms and privacy policy.

3. Apps

FamilyPad

FamilyPad is a private family organisation service. It stores account and profile details and the information users add to a Home, which may include family and friend details, calendars, invitations, messages, tasks, shopping lists, schools, places, documents, photos, home inventory, child and pet care information, health-related notes and care evidence. With permission, it may also process precise location, Apple Calendar data selected for display or import, device tokens for notifications, and photos, camera, microphone or speech input used for a chosen feature.

Information is linked to the account or Home as needed to provide, synchronise, share and secure the service. Shared Home information is visible to authorised members according to their role; personal events shown from another Home are visible only to that user. FamilyPad does not sell this information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. Service providers may process limited data for hosting, database operation, email delivery and Apple push notifications.

Users can manage optional permissions and sharing, edit or delete content, and delete their account in the Profile screen. Account deletion removes or anonymises associated information, subject to administrator safeguards, limited backup retention and any legal obligations. If the last member deletes their account, that Home and its data are also deleted.

4. Information we may handle

Depending on the app, website feature and choices you make, this may include:

Account and profile information

  • Your name, email address, username and account identifiers.
  • A securely hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in readable form.
  • A profile photo and preferences if you choose to provide them.

Content and activity you provide

  • Places, coordinates, categories, notes, recipes, photos, comments, feedback or other content you save or upload.
  • Content you choose to share, interactions with shared content, friend or sharing requests, and email addresses you enter when inviting someone.
  • Messages sent through our website contact form, including your name and email address.

Location information

Some features use a location you search for, save or share. With your permission, an app may use precise or approximate device location for a location-based feature. You can manage this permission in iOS Settings. A saved place is still location information when entered manually.

Device, log and usage information

  • IP address, approximate country derived from it, browser or device information, and request timestamps.
  • App or account identifiers and push-notification device tokens.
  • Basic operational information such as game or session events, feature use, errors and performance data.

Information on your device and website data

Some information remains only on your device unless a feature sends it to our service for synchronisation, sharing, support or online functionality. Our website does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural tracking. Hosting and content-delivery providers may receive technical request data so the site can be delivered securely.

5. How and why we use information

We use information to provide and secure accounts and app features; save, synchronise or share content; respond to support; deliver requested verification, password-reset, invitation and notification messages; diagnose faults; prevent abuse; understand reliability; improve our services; and comply with law.

Under UK data protection law, our lawful bases are usually performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing useful services, your consent for optional access such as location, photos or notifications, and compliance with legal obligations. The basis depends on the feature and context.

We do not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

6. When information is shared

We may share limited information with:

  • People you choose, when you share content, use social features or send an invitation.
  • Service providers that help with hosting, databases, email, content delivery, security and technical support.
  • Feature providers, such as Apple for App Store services and push notifications, or mapping and geocoding providers when you search for a place.
  • Legal and safety recipients where disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate misuse.
  • A successor organisation if App Anthology is reorganised, sold or transferred, subject to appropriate protections.

Independent third-party services have their own privacy practices. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Subprocessors

We use carefully selected subprocessors to operate particular parts of our services. They process limited information on our behalf for the stated purpose and are required to protect it appropriately.

  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) — email delivery and related delivery, security and abuse-prevention records. Depending on the feature you use, information sent through Brevo may include a recipient email address, sender details, message content and other information you choose to include.

Our subprocessors may change as our services develop. We will update this section when we make a material change to the subprocessors used across our apps and services.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide a service, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

  • Account information and server-hosted content are generally kept while the account is active, unless deleted earlier.
  • Verification and reset codes and invitations expire after limited periods, although a minimal security or delivery record may be kept longer.
  • Support messages are kept as long as needed to answer the request and retain an appropriate record.
  • Technical logs and usage metrics are retained only as reasonably needed, then deleted or aggregated where practical.

Deletion may not be immediate where information remains in a time-limited backup, is needed to prevent abuse, or must be kept by law. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can manage location, photo and notification permissions in iOS Settings; edit or delete content using the app; use in-app account deletion where available; and choose what you share.

Depending on your location and circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer or object to our use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Tell us what you object to and why, and we will consider your request.

We may verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply. You may complain to your local regulator. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

10. Children and family use

Some apps may be suitable for family use. An App Store age rating describes content suitability; it does not by itself mean a child can consent to personal-information collection or create an account without a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly ask a child for more information than reasonably needed for a feature. Where law requires parental permission, a child should use account-based or sharing features only with that permission. A parent or guardian can contact us to ask about or request deletion of a child’s information.

11. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections and secure password hashing where applicable. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We and our providers may process information in the UK and other countries. Where required, we use a recognised transfer mechanism such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for more information about relevant safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our apps, services or legal obligations change. We will publish the revision here and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
